Literature through Movies - Dec. 17th

 

According to famed linguist Stephen Krashen, students of language need Comprehensible Input + 2 to acquire language. 

 

Learn how Beginner and Intermediate learners of language can scaffold learning by first creating input and then learning through choice selection of movies that are emotionally engaging and cognitively meaningful. Discover also how Upper-Intermediate and Advanced learners can acquire higher order thinking and a conception of Literature also through movies.

Children and Teens are glued to their TV sets and Nintendo consoles, very passive learning indeed. What was learning like before electronic games were invented? How many more parts of our brain can we wire when playing traditional games?
