Becoming a learner in the 21st century requires a paradigm shift in the way we were schooled about how learning happens.

Learning in the 21st century is about COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION. Learning is a social activity. (Which refreshes the meaning of "No man is an island"). There are many communicative and collaborative tools that are available today that did not even exist in the imagination of teachers when you started school several years ago.

Acquiring the skills and habits of a 21st Century Learner takes both time and focus. In this section I will introduce you to some of the the resources anyone can use to develop those skills and habits of learning.

But I'm learning English, why do I need to learn the skills and habits of a 21st century learner?

(1) In the phrase "I'm learning English" the word "learning" is included in the meaning. If you remove the meaning of "learning" what you get is, "I'm English".

(2) We have entered the 21st century a decade ago (by 2010).  I have no idea why anyone would want to learn English for the 20th Century.

When you combine 1 + 2 what you get is that "learning English" must agree with "learning English as a 21st Century Learner".
